infuriating how men created, benefit from, and reinforce the diet culture that teaches women our worth is measured by our weight and yet men will also act like women’s sensitivity over our weight is just some weird chick thing they couldn’t possibly understand or extend empathy over

life gets better once you start doing your own thing. stop comparing yourself to others and if that means getting rid of social media than get rid of social media. it means to stop with the negative self talk, your brain is lying to you. train it to tell the beautiful truth.
it means to look ahead of you, not behind, not to the side. pay no attention to the strangers around you until you can look at them and feel peace in your heart that you are doing just fine and so are they. you do not have to compromise your self love because someone else is beautiful, successful etc. you can be beautiful too, don’t worry.
it gets easier once you start paying attention to yourself, your own happiness. your own comfort. pay no mind, speak words of kindness, and enjoy what you have.

ohhyoufillmylungswithsweetness:
I’m 23 years old but I feel like I’m 50 going through a midlife crisis. Life is so complicated and demanding sometimes. There’s so much pressure to finish school, get a good job, get married - and I don’t feel like I’m ready for any of that. For the past couple months I’ve done a lot of thinking and I’ve tried to find the motivation to make myself better but I feel like I’m not making any progress. To say I’m discouraged is an understatement. The stress that I feel on a daily basis is sometimes overwhelming and the pressure I put on myself is sometimes too much to handle.
I guess the reason why I even started writing this in the first place is to remind myself and others that are going through similar situations to take a step back and give yourself a break. Eventually you will find yourself and everything will fall into place. It might seem like everything is shit but in the long run these hard times are just making you stronger.
